Camp Z is the artist debut program under Collective Z. We take artists to art fairs. We design the booth, install, staff every fair day, sell and follow up with collectors. You can apply anytime, and it's free.
Camp Z is an Affordable Art Fair NYC Fellowship Gallery, one of six galleries ever selected.
The fellowship covers three editions of the New York fair in a row. Our first was September 2026, Booth F1.
What the gallery does
Presentation
We select the work, design the booth and install it. We don't stack artists' work, so you get the full height of your wall.
Selling
We staff every public hour and sell at the prices we set together. We keep back up pieces in the booth and rehang when something sells. We handle payment, installment plans and delivery.
Collectors
We follow up with every buyer and serious visitor personally. They join the gallery's collector list, so at the next fair some people already know your work.
Record
Every sale comes with a certificate of authenticity and a sale record. And each fair is a good add to your CV.

Questions artists ask
Is the program exclusive?
No. Camp Z is non-exclusive and commission-based. You keep your other galleries, platforms and direct sales.
What does it cost to apply?
Nothing. Applying is free.
What does a fair cost?
Every fair is different. Some cost you nothing. Others have a participation fee, for example a rate per linear foot of wall. The number is in the invitation before you commit. Shipping goes in a shared van, billed at cost with no mark up and split by the volume of your boxes.
Do I need to be in New York?
No. The roster is open to artists anywhere. Your work ships to us and we handle everything on the ground.
What work is eligible?
Painting, works on paper, photography, mixed media and sculpture, at any career stage. Fair experience is welcome but not required.
What happens after I apply?
We look at every application and the work itself. If it's a fit, we'll invite you to specific fairs and projects, with full terms for each. You choose what to take part in.
Who is behind Camp Z?
Collective Z, a contemporary art gallery at 325 Broome Street on New York's Lower East Side. Its Director, Alex Z. Wang, opened the gallery in 2026 after more than ten years in management consulting. Collective Z works with 50+ artists, and the roster is also where the gallery finds artists for its group and solo shows.
