Jack Mac is a mixed-media artist in the New York area, based in New Jersey and largely self-taught. He builds heavy, textured surfaces with blunt text and familiar objects.

I paint obsession. Pills. Sugar. Love. Attention. Control. Things we crave. Things we depend on. I use bold color, blunt text, and familiar objects to expose what's really running the show. Nothing is hidden. Nothing is subtle. As a gay man, queerness isn't a theme—it's just there. Like everything else. Constant. Unapologetic. This isn't decoration. It's confrontation. If it makes you uncomfortable, good.
